Actually what they did was totally legal and legit. The State of Maine allows for a "family dealer plate". The "A" plate is the dealer principle and the "B1" is the family plate. Usually reserved for the spouse. In this case his daughter used it. With a valid resale certificate you don't need to pay tax and you don't need to register or title it. A dealerships blanket insurance policy covers any car with a dealer plate on it as long as it is actually owned by the dealer. Insurance would have covered her better than any regular driver's policy. Last year I sold a 1993 Ford pickup truck with only 6,000 miles on it. Never titled or registered. Did 3,000 miles going forward and 3,000 miles going backward. It was our plow truck. Never left the lot. It was the roughest 6,000 miles truck you've ever seen.

I need to get a car dealership. Have my kids drive 37,000 miles for free, I'm sure that would stand up in court if they had an accident <_< NOT.

Any DB9 on that lot with just back and forth miles on it , you might want to sell at a friends and family discount to a well deserving forum member ? ;-) ;-)

Nice! Interior is almost identical to the 968. Also, '87 944's have upgraded automatic t-belt tensioner. Great highway mileage too!
