Wish I could make it this year, but it isn't possible, it was great a couple of years ago. Everybody have a wonderful time.

I have a coolant leak I need to track down/fix. Going to try and get to it this weekend. Any weak spots on the passenger side I should be aware of? It so darn hard to see anything down there.

Thanks,
Rick

Flash, I'm fly to San Diego on Sat the 11th. Going to do the 500 mile Baja trip again with Wide Open Baja and some of my dealers. My daughter is currently in San Diego at the Navy Base but has received orders to report to her Destroyer in Norfolk in Oct., so I'm going out early to visit with her for a bit. I'm not hooking up with the Baja guys until the following WEd at the airport. How bitchy of a drive is it these days from San Diego to LA?. Haven't done it since mid 80's. Would like to hook up for a beer or 2 if I can work it in and your schedule is free.

not bitchy at all - going north is never a problem - going south can be, depending on what is going on

on top of that, where i am avoids ALL of the LA traffic

only a week to go

i have both guys from santa barbara set to stay here friday night - it looks like the san diego guys are driving up together?

everyone please confirm your plans so i can prepare accordingly

it has been proposed that we rendezvous at Coffee and Cars first, oogle the nice toys, and then head out - we have done this in the past, but it definitely means running into some traffic on the first leg of the run - leaving early doesn't necessarily mean that we avoid though either - i can go either way

thoughts?

I prefer the drive to the oogling but I am flexible.

I'm heading up from SD in the AM and I'm happy to caravan with anyone else heading in that direction. Just let me know.

I have all the parts and hoping to do the repairs this weekend. Life is hard and had to spend the last two days out on the boat. I know, I know. We all have to suffer... It is up near the top of the list though. rster, what time are you planning on pulling out?

Here is a video of the Irvine Coffee and Cars from a week ago.

Cars and Coffee Irvine 08-28-2010

Didn't spot any 968's. Was a really fun time to start the day there.

sorry - it's been crazy around here

it seems the consensus is to go to cars and coffee - that's great - always a good time there

we need to be there by about 6:30 and line up if we want to park inside together - otherwise we can just park in the structure and do whatever we want from there

thoughts?

today i am going to try to cram in an alignment to correct a slight pull - did not get the rear trailing arms done - did not get the whine eliminated in my stereo - did not get the top done.......well, you get the idea

bums me out that i have been so busy on everything else that i have not gotten my own car done - lol - it's almost like i had my shop again

anyway, rendezvous now set at coffee and cars at 6:30 - for those of you who have not been there before:

exit HWY 5 at Alton Pkwy in Irvine and go West (right if you are headed South and left if you are headed North)

right turn at Gateway

http://irvine.carsan.../directions.php

the show is at the end of the road - you can't miss it - if you are parking with us, they will direct you - if you are parking in the garage, it is on the right just before you get to the show - there will be signs and people to direct you

we will depart there for the run at about 8:45 or so - the run will take its route out and we will stop for coffee and a break at about the halfway point - then we head back for the bbq here at the house arriving just short of noon

fill up BEFORE you get to coffee and cars - there is a shell station on the other side of the freeway - i suggest bringing water, a hat, and a camera

see you there
