All,

Want some feedback on my recent deal...

1993 968 cabrio white on blue with 22,xxx miles. Has all the regular maintenance records, clean title, one owner, completely stock, timing belt recently replaced (but not the timing chain). Very very clean interior and exterior for $14,000. Does this sound like a good price? Are there any service issues I should immediately address? Any additional helpful comments are appreciated.

Thank in advance.

If everything checks out, and the car is what you want, sounds like a great deal to me!

As long as all the records are there, the tranny is what you want (6spd vs. tip), the color combo floats your boat, etc., the price seems extremely reasonable - especially with 22,XXX purportedly well-cared-for miles...

Good luck and keep us posted!

just realize that even at 22k, unless some things have been replaced, it could still need work

at 14k on the white car, just 2 years ago, we still had to change every hose, belt, and fluid

stuff ages out - have the suspension bushings looked at, and things like that

but even so, at that price, if it's what you want, it sounds pretty darned good, and leaves you a good amount of budget for anything it might need

Sounds like a good deal to me too. Enjoy the new car!

Just to clarify the 968 has no timing chain, but there are many folks here who wishes it did tongue.gif

22K? If that's honest mileage, you've got a great find.. If it was myself, I would, without hesitation, take it to RS Barn, and let Pete and Max give it the once over. If you haven't dealt with them before, they are honest to a fault, ask anyone here on the board. Good luck and hope to meet you and your cab!
