East Coast Detail Day

I will contact my dent guy, so anyone interested in PDR, let me know.
I have lots of chemicals, some of which can even be used on our cars and would be happy to have a short class/presentation on some basic principles of polishing and paint correction as well as demo-ing some products. Bring anything you like...your favorite products, towels, rags, etc. I have a bunch but would hate to run short. I'll do a laundry run day before to make sure my stock is clean. I'll supply the buckets, hose, brushes, mits, etc.
If anyone needs to do an oil change or something basic we can probably have the lift available depending upon what my partner has torn apart at the time.
This will take place at my office(s) as opposed to my residence, so we will have to bring things, but there are 2 fridges, a microwave, etc. I keep a small grill at the adjacent office so we can put together some ideas for that as well.
I'm open for either a Sat or Sun since I pretty much live there...let's throw around some dates and go from there.

My problems areas are paint chips in the front and I could use a good engine detailing.

Count me in. Even though you just did an awesome job on my car I'd like to meet some of the other 968'ers and see if I can learn a thing or 3.
My weekends for the next little while are pretty open except for next weekend 08/29-30

Darryl,
I was thinking of doing an oil change on the manual transmission. Do you think I can get it done that day on the lift?
I'll have to get all my parts together before hand. What would you suggest as oil product?

And I could use your dent guy for my doors, plus I also have a bad case of the 'rash' on my front end...

They make ointments for that sort of thing...
Cosimo tried Dr Colorchip on his Aventura Green. I do not have any personal experince with it but if you want to pick up a kit in the appropriate color, bring it along.
I am looking at the calendar and will throw out a few dates after we get a few more posts to gauge interest.

I've thought about using this, but I believe the road rash is too advanced, and that a total paint job would be best. Also thought if I could get the minor dents out of the door from the PO, waiting for the new skin wouldn't be so bad..

And lets not forget the star trek marathon running that afternoon.
I may order that Dr Colorchip in blk and give it a try. Drove my car into work this AM and man is it dirty. Thinking of leaving it that way for better before and after shots.

Fox...I was actually thinking of the 6th...anybody else? I know that should work for PorscheDude and I think walker18 said labor day weekend was good for him as well. Let's get a head count of who can make it on the 6th......that's only 2 weeks away....I need to double check with my dent guy as I have not heard back from him yet!
