The OEM polyurethane version is available from Carnewal in Europe IIRC.

Gentleman's name is Gert.

I believe the web address is simply www.carnewal.com.

Now might be a fairly good time to buy due to the low exchange rate- might even go lower yet!

Anyone have a picture of a light colored cabrio (silver or white) with the splitter? I have been tossing around the idea of getting one, I just don't know how it'll look.

Not a cab.
I think this was the AIR splitter.

Thanks Porsche Dude. I think I might take your picture and do a little photoshop work on it. See if I can make it body color and put it onto a similar picture of my car.

Do they make anything smaller? I might have touble getting in and out of my driveway with that one. I saw a picture of one that only had the splitter on the outer thirds of the bumper and the center didn't have anything. Any idea who makes it? I did a quick look at the "wings and things...." section and didn't see I, yet I know thats where I saw it the other day.

I have destroyed a few of them.
If you drive your car allot, I would suggest not doing it.

As much as I like the look, its just too big of a pain.
Last one I destroyed took out my plastic grill behind the front bumper cover.
(my car is lowered)

I do like to drive my car a bit and I sometimes venture onto roads that aren't exactly flat. Maybe you are right. Hum....I'll have to check out everyones splitters at Hershey and decide then. Still going to do some photoshop work though.

As Flash said, I have the TechArt one on my car. I really dig it. To me, it is very tasteful but different. I think a splitter really makes the front of the car look more sporty and complete.

Lim-

The TechArt is NLA, so you need to find someone who is willing to part with one.

The OEM polyurethane one is still available from Gert @ Carnewal. I think it is probably around $600 to get it into the states, with all the taxes, duties, fees, etc.

I just purchased the Strosek one directly from Strosek and I haven't added the total cost up yet, but it was slightly less expensive than buying it from Fred Opert Racing in NJ (Strosek's "distributor" on the East coast). As long as it fits, I will be extremely happy with how it looks.

I know I've mentioned this before - but if anyone wants any first-hand information from Fred Opert Racing, they're located within a mile of where I live.

the tech art is still listed, so possibly directly through tech art - i'll look into that - the last time i heard it was about $550

the euro is weak right now - last time i checked on the pricing at carnewal, it was 350 euros - that equates to 511 - count in the $65 shipping, and it is indeed nearly $600

no easy answer

I contacted TechArt (via their information request email from their website) this past Fall, and the 968 front splitter was NLA if I remember correctly. That's sorta how I ended up with the Strosek unit.

Maybe the person I talked to was not in the "know" or didn't want to look....? Would really be nice to know if it is still available or not. Maybe I won't like the Strosek unit once it is installed?!

The Porsche part no for the Tech Art splitter is / was..... P000 043 300 20 and consists of three parts and an undertray
which replaces the stock front undertray.

The Tech Art part no. is ......Frontlippe 968 100 100 009

No idea if still available ..I purchased mine through Porsche GB in 2004.

hi all,
great info. I for one is hoping the tech art is available, or can be with a possible group buy...My fiberglass one is getting a little tired.
thanks

The AIR Splitter is the cheapest to buy.

$200 a Fiberglass front splitter & i believe $300 for a Carbon Fiber front splitter.

Its wider then the OEM unit and my fav front splitter. My car is lowered and after destroying 2 fiberglass splitters, i bought a stronger Carbon Fiber splitter & had it clearcoated. That one has outlasted the two fiberglass units combined and so far has not cracked.
