ok - i now have all the details and answers to most of the questions:

Nethercutt Museum - 15151 Bledsoe St. Sylmar 91342

the event is a PCA Concours event - it is also a fundraiser for both the San Gabrial chapter and for the National Childhood Cancer Foundation

you can enter your car in the concours or merely display it along with mine and others - you can also just show up, in which case there is no admission, but you don't get the perks

those of you who choose to display your car, there is a $20 per car fee - this will allow you to park on display in a group (very cool thing) it will also grant you admission to the museaums for the scheduled tours - we need to be on site no later than 8:30

lunch can also be provided for an aditional $8

the dress code used to be no jeans, t-shirts or shorts, and while still appreciated by the museaum, is no longer strictly - nobody will be turned away if they are in jeans or shorts - however, please use common sense here - this is a event with tthe most pristine cars in the museums and in competition

i need a head count before the 10th of those that want lunch and/or will be displaying with us

drop me an email if you are interested and i will send you the registration form - fees do not need to be sent, and can be paid day of event

i will email everybody i know already with these details, as well as rendezvous and contact information

gee, I was planning to order lunch, but now I have to spend those $ 8 on the gas price increase since I budgeted for this trip last month, foolishly calculating in a
less than $ 3 / gal. cost. I could take the money out of the $ 350 allocated for margaritas and beer I suppose... nah, that would just be stupid.

Now, that's even more reason to make this drive to Sylmar ! Come on guys...

it was just a mapquest link showing where it is - i'm thinking you should probably hook up with gene who is just north of the place and right off the freeway - i'll buzz him today and try to set that up - there is another guy in valencia too - going to try to set up a little mini rendezvous with you guys - doing the same thing for the guys in OC

ultimtely, we will all hook up off site very near the event, similar to what we did for the autofest - looking for a location now

There is a Denny's or Coco's right at the Roxford St exit off the 5.

ah - well then ok - i'll pick a spot in the next day or so - may actually be driving up there today for somthing else and can scout it out - if not, i can make a call and find a place close

Sorry, but I can't make it that weekend, I have a family picinic I'm going to in Redding. (the other way on Interstate 5) But! it is with the President of the PCA in that region. Always good to see family long lost.

found the rendezvous site - there is a Denny's right off the roxford exit - you can see it from the freeway

7:45 rendezvous at Denny's to depart at 8 for our 5 minute drive to the venue, so we can be spotted on site and in place before 8:30 as requested by the event organizer

emails will go out tonight to everyone i already have on my list - anybody else interested, please email me

FYI to those from OC, we will not be having a pre-stage down here. The idea is to meet at Denny's off the Roxford St exit in Sylmar like Bob said above.

The drive is a little over 60 miles from my house, so plan time accordingly! (30 minutes ought to do it )
