No, that is a shagging wagon. Notwithstanding the romance usually associated with a winemakers lifestyle, after half an hour, crushing grapes is just another dirty and sticky job.

Hey, I saw "I Love Lucy". Crushing grapes looks like fun! But how do you get the purple off of your feet?

That's why we Italians have wide flat feet and skinny ankles and calves. Maximum surface area on the compression stroke, minimal friction and resistance on the upstroke.

Bill,
You don't, your hands or feet (in Lucy's case) turn black and it takes weeks for the color to work out of the crevices in your skin. Black hands are the sign of a true winemaker.

Skinny ankles and calves are great for women, but if you're a guy ...eh, no so much. You need soccer player calves and ankles, or otherwise you'll be labeled as a girlie-man by Ahhnold, our former governor .
Wait, how did we get to a wine and calves tangent on a Monterey CAR week topic ?! Oh right , other priorities interfering with automobiles, lol.
