Thanks flash and silvy--yes, I did put an e-mail in to the site and told them I'm on board--have not received a confirmation--you should cross post to the R.L. 968 and 944/924/951/968 board and see if we can get some support over there too.

I got an email reply today.
Lots of thanks, but no price and no delivery date.
I emailed back and asked.
If I get an answer I'll post.

any update on the white lenses from the swedes? I'm tempted to just take off my bumperettes and buy the long orange euro ones for now and resell them when [or if] these guys ever make the clear option...

OK I'll bite. Did you US gents do a mod to get rid of the 'bumperettes' or did you go all the way to EU for that car???

remove the screw that is in the turn signal lense
remove the rectangular shaped center of the bumperette by prying it out
remove the 2 nuts in the center
remove the bumperette
now you can remove the turn signal lens by pulling forward

Nevermind - I missed this part of the thread. Sorry for clogging up the server...

Yeah,I did the clear(euro) conversion.Really like the look. Was a little skeptical of the fit at first(I think the lens came off 993?) but after it's all done they fit fine.As simple a job as it may appear(I think I had to go to autoparts store 3 different times to get the right thin walled socket that would fit the bolts holding the bumperettes on.)They came with amber bulbs but I used clear and they work and look great.Good luck.

the 993 lenses leave a gap that bugs a lot of people - there is actually an amber lens for the 968

craftsman makes a thin wall deep socket in 1/4 drive that works great

Been racking my brains trying to find a source for those pesky front lenses (RoW) but it all seems to come down to Sunset and the amber colour only. There are some nice smoke lenses for the 993 but I hear too many comments about fitment. Has anyone got a good pic of the actual gap that the 993 lens leaves on a 968? Unfortunately if it is noticeable I will fixate on that everytime I walk in front of my car or wash it and eventually hurt myself in some way as penance - maybe drink blended instead of single malt wink.gif

it is noticeable. if no one else posts a pic, i will do so later tonight. I doubt you will be pleased with the fitment. I think the amber looks classy anyway.

The 964 Turbo S flachbau front lenses may fit and those were avauilable in both amber & clear(white).

I may just go with the Euro amber but I saw a picture of the smoke lenses and thought they looked quite nice. A friend just got smoke lenses for the rear of her boxter (yea, just a boxter) but it really made it look a lot better. Now I can tell if she is coming or going smile.gif

You can see the poor fitment of 993 lenses/blinkers in these pics. From far away they look good because you cant see all the gaps, but from up close....not so much.

Tks for the pics but all I see are the beautiful wheels, gap, what gap smile.gif
They don't look so bad but Jeff at Sunset just sent me a price of 56.00 each so that is much less than the 993 lights anyway. I'll go with the Euro amber I guess so I can sleep at night.
Now about those wheels.....

$56 each for the whole amber European assembly? That seems like a good buy...

I lied, it was $53.92 each - even better! The only catch now is they don't do USPS to Canada yet and I will never use UPS again as they rape Canadians - not in the good way either wink.gif . They charge a flat 50.00 brokerage fee on any item coming up here PLUS they tack on shipping again from the border to your destination. Ack!
