I had fun watching from a far yesterday...thanks for broadcasting. I am even more excited about gathering a bunch of 968s together than I was the day before.

Many, many thanks to Darryl for being such a generous host, paying for bagels and pizza and what-not and for sharing his knowledge all day about removing the worst of scratches. And many thanks for the 15% discount on the Adam's products! (My wife is *still* telling me how much she "saved" shopping at the mall all day Saturday.)

Many thanks also to each of you who attended on the East Coast and welcomed me to the fold, I consider each of you new friends and I enjoyed talking to you and swapping war stories and driving your cars. They were each amazingly different!

Due to Darryl's diligent detailing and Jim's trusting manner, I'm the proud new owner of a '93 Guards Red Cab/6-speed, which is the perfect round-out of my 924/944S/968 experience, all Guards Red, all manual transmissions, all questionable Porsche stereos, etc. Posted Image

The supercharger is on order, the double-DIN stereo/NAV unit is being researched (suggestions welcome), and the radar detector is under research as well...

Congrats on the new 968! I love Guards Red - although I also like my slate gray, and am fond of many other colors as well, there's still a big part of me that says that by law, all sports cars/GTs should be red Posted Image.

Well, as always my wife and I had a great time. I have to say though, I was more than a little surprised to see six (!) cabs and no coupes! Especially when they were calling for rain! Thanks again to Darryl for hosting us, Minta LOVED what you did to her car. Now she's chomping at the bit to find some free time and deep clean the interior.

It was awesome to meet everyone, we really hope we see you guys at some of the events this year!

Mine was by far the worst off probably. However, we all made a huge improvement(except BVA who of course detailed his BEFORE he got there). It was good to meeting everyone and having Flash host the west coast event. My thanks to everyone.

Darryl, I was unable to attend Saturday,s event, I am not familiar with your products but everyone seemed to talk highly of them. Could you direct me to a thread or your website so I can school myself ?
Thanks. Bob

it was a great day indeed - thanks to all the guys who showed up

a big thanks to rxter for bringing by the e-z-up (it's all packed up and ready for you - let me know how we want to connect)

my day started pretty early, as we got going on the belt job early - we starting seeing people how up for detail day about 8:30 with the arrival of brian, who was an immense help throughout the day - he was constantly giving tips and showing people how to apply products and all of the ins and outs of getting your car really dialed in

we had 7 968s over the course of the day, 5 of which got detailed - they came in looking "normal" but all went home looking great

the weather cooperated and was not the blazing hot temps of the previous day - in fact, toward the end, it actually got a bit cool, and the wax was a bit tougher to remove on the last car

it was great seeing everybody, and i hope to see some of them again this weekend for the paso robles run

here are a couple of shots of the guys working on the cars:

ramius, we would've had one Coupe here but mine is still at my house. I had hoped to have it here just for the photo ops, but I've been too busy to go trailer it back out to the office...hopefully this week.

rap, the line of products that folks are referring to is Adam's Polishes. The website is http://www.adamspolishes.com I am working on a way to get 968Forums members a discounted price rather than have me ship items all over the place. I'll post that info once I work things out with Adam's. I'll be supplying some goodies for Jay's "Takin' it to the Street" event in May and will most likely be bringing some products available for sale as well. Hopefully, you can join us there!

Many thanks to Flash - and the guys who drove many more miles to be there than I did - for Saturday's event. The Adam's polishes we used provided spectacular results. Adam's car (slate gray coupe) seriously looks brand new now, and my car's paint (black coupe) was literally brought back from the dead! Definitely worth the sore back I had on Sunday from the hours of polishing. Thanks also to Max, who Flash brought out from RS Barn, for being very cool and helpful as we all peppered him with questions about our cars. I drove my car to work today just cuz it looks so damn good now!

Hello to all; I remember having a discussion at this event with someone (I don't remember who), who had replaced the shifter leather boot themselves. I need it done and I am wondering about materials and a cut pattern and the procedure itself...

I got mine from a guy in the UK, the price was better then others I had seen. The removal and installation is easy. http://cgi.ebay.com/...7#ht_858wt_1165
