Saw this link and thought someone here may be interested - no affiliation, yada, yada...but I'd be willing to go take a look and/or aid in shipping/pickup.

Exactly, I figured if anyone was interested, they could e-mail via the Craigslist link and ask for more photos. If they're close by, I don't mind going to take a look in person.

Those are cool, and pretty rare.

Remember, they offer two versions of the cloth seats, one with leather on the side bolsters and cloth in the inserts (like these) and another were even the side bolsters are cloth.

I'm trying to find those in Linen. If anyone comes across them please let me know. If they are Linen Sport Seats with the cloth center I'm willing to sell off a lung if needed.

So the 968 came with two seat options, sport and regular? My seats are regular, but I test drove a M030 with sport seats. Is the main difference the larger bolsters on the seat back? Is there anything else?

Yes, the regular seats have a 5" bolster and the sport seats have a 7" bolster. What makes these particular seats rare is the cloth script inserts.

No diff. I have the sport seats in my 968 and the regular ones on my 944 S2. Bolster is the only change, I wish the seat was wider for my big butt but sadly no. It's hard being a 6'4" 235 lb Porschephile.

I hear you Dave.

Does anyone know if the Porsche script fabric can be porschased separately, or if the covers can be had from Porsche?

I'm 170lb 6'1" and I feel like the bottom bolsters on the seat are too close together, so clearly they are too close together. I would like more side support though...

I have the cloth script seats in my 944S but they are vinyl not leather. They are like 8 way power with heat on the driver in maroon.

Dire-

You've got a few paths to check....

1) Look through the seat section of the PET. There will be part numbers for both the back and bottom covers, typically for all the different variations, including the soft-back sport seats. Once you have the part numbers, give Jeff @ Sunset Porsche a call. An older version of the PET would be best if you have it.

2) Contact World Upholstery to see if they can get the material.

3) Contact Paul Champagne to see if he can get it (www.designpaulchampagne.com)

4) Contact Rob Budd to see if he can get it (928leather.com)

Edit-

Searched PET for you;

For leatherette and cloth script...

Backrest cover 944 521 071 04 XH3 (linen)
Cushion cover 944 521 037 15 XH3 (linen)

Not sure if they're available anymore, but worth a try. Probably a better chance to get the leather/cloth version which I didn't copy for you.

Like Ryan, I also had the cloth seats in my 944 with the vinyl trim. The cloth was like new when I sold the car at about 340,000 km. The trim on these seats may also be vinyl.

A few years back on here or RL or Pelican (who knows), I'm pretty sure I read that the Porsche script cloth was nearly impossible to find nowadays and if you could, it was only in black. As for others reproducing it, surprise, Porsche copyright issues seem to be preventing that from happening, again, last I heard.

Jeff, those blue full cloth sport seats are "bery, bery nice"

Thanks Bio. Against the begging and pleading from the wife I will be calling Sunset tomorrow. Has anyone seen the pricing on the factory covers? I would imagine it would be pretty costly. $1600 per seat maybe? Plus some new foam...
