Thanks Flash for hosting another great event, and for hooking up the PDR - very stoked to have the door dings removed.

Roland: the polymer product is called Opti-Seal, from Optimum Polymer Technolgies (optimumcarcare.com) . First time i've used it, we'll keep you posted on how well it works.

Any idea as to how many people "tuned in" to watch?
I wander what their thoughts are as observers.

we had a couple of red cars that i would have loved to have gotten into - red is a high maintenance color for sure - they both could have used a good buffing and a really good wax and seal, but one guy was just here to hang (very cool) and the other didn't make it here until 3 (he was doing his belts in the morning)

it was really cool to see how different things worked differently on the varying colors of the cars too - i was happy to pass along some tips, and was glad to see others doing the same - in the end everybody went away knowing more than when they arrived

kris's car came out really nice too - he came in with some really heavy water spotting from some sprinklers - he went away bright and shiny aventurine green

we did a comparison test on detail sprays too - while there was a personal preference that varied between some of the guys between griot's and meguire's, it was hands down all in favor of the adam's - i sent everybody home with a sample bottle in their little gift bags

looking forward to webcasting more events - this was fun and the technology looks like it can work for us in other applications

OT Comment- I like the pavers used in your drive way.

Sorry for sounding so HGTV but were doing a lot of home improvements and these things now catch my eye.

Did you try acid and pressure wash?
That worked at my old place in Ft. Lauderdale.

I'm thinking "oil eating bacteria". Did a quick search on the subject, there seemed to be a couple of sites that offered something, but honestly they appeared a little "fly by night". Almost as if only a certified org. is allowed to use them. But then who knows, bacteria probably wouldn't fit into the stone if the oil has soaked into itty bitty cracks in porous stone.

the problem is the porosity - i've tried everything, including carb cleaner - nothing touches it - after the last one, i'm done - i'm going to flip the bricks or change them, but then i am ripping it out when i widen the driveway

i am not leaking a drop (knock wood) - however, i have had other people park in the driveway and leave it behind

i also had an oil line blow and it made a mess on its way back into my garage - i now have a "stripe" up the driveway

Geeze I hate Flashs' detail days. They are so depressing because it's fun, sunny and 3000Km away. So, for that reason I never read the thread, it keeps me from getting too down wink.gif But, I couldn't help myself this time as I wanted to see some cars and faces. Can't tell you how mad I am to find out you webcast it and I could have been virtually there!
Kudos for keeping up with technology and I have learned my lesson. Read the thread cuz you never know what surprise may be in store biggrin.gif
