You may find recently that you no longer have access to most of the site. This is due to some housekeeping on old memberships, intended to delete spammers that slipped through prior to the new ownership. We have an overwhelming amount of this on a daily basis, and this had to be done. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Furthermore, a few members who have one post got stuck in the "Lurker" category when we did an upgrade, which bumped everyone down there for a while. We did not want to go through all of the memberships one by one, so we left their membership alone, however they will not be able to see any of the board until they post again and get approved, and move up the ladder to "Newbie".

Instructions on what to do were sent out in an email, but it might not have gotten to everyone. Once you have gone through these steps, you will again have access to other areas of the site. Access will increase as you move up in level. Further information on this is available in the "Tutorial". So that those members who are currently stuck in "Lurker" level and don't know how to get out, can move forward, below is a copy of the email that went out to anyone who registered before the new ownership, and had not posted:

In an ongoing effort to clean up old registrations, delete spammers, and update the membership statistics, many registrations have been deleted. These are all people who have never posted to the forum, and have not been on the site for over a year.

If you were deleted, you are more than welcome to re-register, and we encourage you to do so.

Those who have never posted, even if they have been on the site recently, have also had their status and access privileges changed as well.

Whether you re-register, or merely revisit the site, you will see some changes. One of them will require that you post in the "Introductions" section. It will require you to list your City and State, as well as the year and model of your 968 (assuming you have one, otherwise state "NONE"). The post will go through Moderator Preview prior to showing up. This is for no other reason than to give people an opportunity to say "hello" and attempt to further build the community. No other information will be shared unless you authorize it. No other information is required, though you are welcome to post anything about yourself that you like. Please limit the content to that of an introduction, and do not use this area as a general dump site for questions.

Once the Moderator allows the post, you will have unfettered access to the areas allowed at the "Newbie" level.

There will be very few areas that you will be able to see at the "Lurker" level, so we encourage you to pop in and say "hello" and get started. You may well find new friends there, and at a bare minimum let others know that there are others out there.

We appreciate your understanding on this and hope that it has not caused too much inconvenience. We strive to provide and maintain the absolute best 968 site in the world, and feel that this is necessary to insuring that
.
