Saw this on Autotrader. The listing of color under "red/white" should have been a warning for what my eyeballs were about to endure:

http://www.autotrade...&standard=false

Don't know whether to laugh or cry (probably both).

Laughing and crying right after throwing up. Pity. Even 924 do not deserve this, but doing that to a 968 is downright criminal conduct.

Now now, it could have been worse! How you ask? Just think of the colors you dislike the most and put them on. I have a white 968 and as a color guy couldn't imagine doing that, but.....

Apparently, when a Porsche and an Anti-Porsche come into contact with one another, they destroy each other in an act of mutual annihilation by swapping body panels?

Although, I wonder if this car could be a real sleeper deal for somebody. After all, a little paint, new wheels, and the replacement of some unfortunately chosen interior trim pieces (what the heck is up with that piece of channel iron that doofus is using for a harness bar?), and it would be back to a normal 968. I imagine you could knock several thousand off the asking price due to its current clown-car appearance. I would think the dealer would jump at any chance to get this rolling eyesore off his lot.

I don't know, it looks pretty sweet compared to that 944 in the background.

Yeah, I notice that. Kind of reminds me of something I read recently (God, I'm embarrassed to admit I actually bothered to read this story) that Kim Kardashian is suing somebody for mocking her in a commercial on the grounds that is it could damage her reputation. Legal pundits who chimed in on the case stated that it no merit, because it's impossible to soil that woman's reputation any more than it already is. So maybe the 968 clown car is right where it belongs, in the Kim Kardashian of used car lots.

I always wondered what the 968 would look like if the lower body panels were painted a different color. Now I know!
Although, if they were BLACK it may not be that bad...
It seems that the "short" piece on the driver's side is missing...

It's hard for me to be too critical. Here's a picture of the 944 Turbo I raced in PCA Club Racing awhile back in its two tone look. I had a bunch of fiberglass parts, like the front bumper, rear bumper and CS adjustable rear wing (all legal at the time; I have no idea about current rules.) that I had painted a dark metallic green. So the whole lower section of the car was dark. I thought it looked ok at the time. Maybe not :P

Well, funny color scheme or no, seeing a procession of Porsches charging up a winding hill on a beautiful race track makes my heart go pitter-patter. I plan to start the re-assembly of my engine this weekend.

Boy probably going to open myself up to some ridicule but although it's tough to see I don't think it looks bad. Course this is a guy with as Ryan says a frilly upstairs and a smattering of two tone leather and swede shoes.

Ask Ryan! I like colors so it didn't offend me as perhaps it would have others. Besides which I have a frilly artist who paints there. Besides I know that frilly and Churchillian cigars don't mix or match so I am safe . Not that there is anything wrong with being frilly!!!

Are those seat belts being secured by a 2x4?

I thought it was a piece of channel iron (not sure I'm using the right term for a hollow rectangular length of steel). It's bizarre, whatever it is. And what's up with the "artwork" on the sides of the doors? A very, very strange car.

Nah, it's a piece of box Al, and there is nothing wrong with frilly, there's just a "time and place"

You of course must mean after a full fun filled day with your 968 coming upstairs for a nice glass of vino and a tasty cigar watching some college football or the Sports Illustrated Swuimsuit show!!! Lol
