I remember seeing this wrap job on the site here somewhere, so likely the owner is a member. I don't doubt the claim regarding maintenance and mods if he is not doing his own wrenching - these things get expensive fast. Car looks like a great buy as long as its been maintained. Not so good if you want a street car, but for track/DE ready this one looks like a winner.

The owner has posted here before. Lookup seattledl. I haven't seen the car but it looks like a good price for a well setup car. Would you be using it for the track?

Hi Eric - looks like we don't live too far from each other. I did come across the current owner's previou posts here and elsewhere. It does look like a well set up car. I do plan using it for autocross and track days. I don't have the wherewithal to get involved in racing, so I'm looking for something that is a combination of a street/track car.

Wow Jeff - you da man! Last 3 digits are 393 and it does come with the painted rear spoiler. The seller indicated that it does have a LSD so it's interesting to hear that it didn't come from the factory like that. Is there any way I can figure out if it has a limited slip (short of dumping the clutch at 5000 rpms!).

Do you have any other info on this car.

Thanks!

You would be surprised at how many M030 968s DON'T have limited slip. My only explaination for this is that either the purchaser THOUGHT limited slip was part of the M030 package or they wanted to install a non-Porsche unit. Most know that option code 220 indicates limited slip and the current owner should see that code is missing from the vehicle information sticker on the car body or in the maintenance manual. Ask him if he added it? On a car like that, someone probably did. No other info on the car.

Just to follow up on this - I corresponded with the seller and turns out that a Torsen diff was installed as some point so that's good to know.

The weekend is almost over. Have you set up a test drive yet?

Just to update anyone following this - took the car for a test drive today - really a beautiful looking car. Unfortunately I think it's gone too far in the direction of a dedicated track car at this point. With the welded in cage etc, and all the suspension upgrades etc, it's a blast to drive and I was tempted to think about it just as a track toy, but I didn't think the wife would go for it! I need to cut down on the number of cars I have, not keep adding to them!
