As if it wasn’t enough that this car has super low mileage (18K), a 6 speed, and offered at a fair price it is also one unique 968. It is loaded with options and good ones, dual full power seats, dual heated seats, headlight washers, limited slip, body side molding, factory CD with hi-fi sound, and 17” wheels. It is colored in the popular polar silver and topped with a dark blue cab top. But what really sets this 968 apart is the interior. It has the extremely rare special order Provence blue/midnight blue full leather interior as well as the supple leather option. It is the ONLY North American 968 cab produced with this interior (there was also 1 coupe). It is very cool. The car had a sticker of over $63K when new thanks to all those options and this $5000 interior. Someone grab it. I would if I had the room.

It is softer leather and has the wrinkles in it. You can see them on the photo, just in the inserts. Cost $400 more.

That's a real beauty. I would be surprised if it doesn't bring $25-$30k...best example I've seen in a long time..and it's in the fastest color as well cool.gif

Jay

Wow! I wish I could convince someone around here to buy it so my 968 would have a "twin" (at least on the exterior).

No timing belt replacement? (That statement is in the Q&A section of the add) That is "scary". My timing belt only has ~10,000 miles on it, but since it was done +4 years ago, I want to replace it this winter (age issue). I guess if the 968 in the add has never been on a "spirited" drive, then the timing belt will hold up. Yet... how can someone drive a 968 and not have at least some "spirited" moments! That timing belt & water pump need to be replaced ASAP!

"and it's in the fastest color as well" - gotta luv that "biased" statement - yet I fully agree! biggrin.gif

Actually there has been a shift in the force in the past month, black cars are now the fastest 968's out there.

Do you guys like the interior? It is interesting how they made it. All the "soft"/covered parts like the leather and carpet are the special provence blue color but the hard parts are existing colored parts like the dash, which is midnight blue, the door panel tops, which are midnight blue, and note the seat hinge covers in black. This same provence blue special leather was also available combined with black instead of midnight blue but no one in the North American 968s ordered it.

That's was probably the closest blue color you get for the steering wheel and dash. They probably were not doing custom colors on those parts.

Believe it or not, they already had three other blues used for hard parts (dash tops, steering wheels). They had cobalt blue, marine blue, and midnight blue, so rather then make the hard parts in a matching provence blue they paired it with what they already had, black, and in the case of a complementing blue, midnight blue.

Beautiful car! I would have been tempted, but the interior combo would need to grow on me.

Nice car. I love the inventory tag on the key ring - I'd keep that too! Figure a couple grand to change the belts, pump, hoses, and tires. Anyone who is waiting for that low mileage manual cab to come up this looks like the one. Last one came up about 6 months ago...

I'm interested in the car but would need to sell the blue coupe to get into it right now. Can't have the Boss, a coupe and a cab with only a two-car garage. The interior IMO is awesome.

I had bids on this car but it went up to much for me. Would have loved it for Concours but I am not a fan of soft top and standard, huh.gif sorry guys. I know most people love the standard shift! Hope we hear from who finally brought it.
