In 2011 I rescued this 968 just in time; catostrophic failure was possibly only a few Kms away. I'm not sure how much the PO knew about its condition (possibly quite a lot as it was very cheap!), but I discovered the distributor cover was cracked and starting to shread the timing belt. So my first job was to change belts, tensioner, and rollers. Since then I've been sourcing bits and pieces to bring it back to its original condition. At a later date I shall seek forum advice on how to reverse warped plastic and the like.
