What other cars do you own?

We have owned three Audi Avants the first two were A6 Avants and the current one is an Allroad (A4 Avant based). The first one, a 93, went 297K miles before it was totaled in an accident. The second went 200K before it was hit by a drink driver, totaling the car. Both of the A6's were the normal version that I disabled the speed speed governor on, installed Koni adjustable shocks, and Z rated tires. Both cars were easily capable of 150 miles per hour. I followed the maintenance schedule and did not have to do any engine or transmission work.

Thus far the 2015 Allroad has turned out to be great ride, but it only has room for one dog.

Thanks for the feedback Chris,  I do recall you did own at least one Avant, but had no clue there were more, and just didn’t know if it was the RS version ..but fundamentally if they’re that reliable and the engine has that kind of longevity there a good confidence factor that the RS is just as solid .

I saw one the other day up close, parked next to my car and my jaw dropped when I looked at the front brakes on that car ; the calipers are larger than any new Lamborghini,  Ferrari , Maserati,  Bugatti , McLaren , Porsche ,  etc. which I have ever seen .

I guess Audi expects you need some serious stopping power with that car.. safety first !

Considering out energy price increases that are coming this year, my electric provider sent me notification

2021 charges $1300, 2022 estimated charges $2800, thinks have got expensive and now they are telling us because of the war they will increase more, and fuel has reached an all time high now, super unleaded £1.69 litre

Not sure I could afford to run a panny now

In case anyone wants to buy a 914 …or steal a 914.     One of the funniest articles I have ever read about a car.   It’s a little long , but a brilliant piece of humor, IMO..

914 article was great. I had a 72 1.7 and it was a fun car. I sold it and the gal that bought it crashed it... sad. I also had a 66 911 which I really regretted selling but I needed money for the homestead so it went. Then they started going into the six figures and I said shit...why did I sell it?  I had early cvcc Honda but my first car was a 66 vw micro bus that I drove all through collage  and beyond. I currently have a Tundra with 300k that is just great as well as a supercharged A6 and the 968 and 944S.

A friend of mine in San Diego is selling this. It belonged to his dad.
