The Heater Control on my 968 has failed and does not seem to be repairable. New replacement units are no longer available from Porsche. My only option is to find a good used one if the one in the car is not repairable. Anybody know if there is a cottage industry out there, capable of repairing the unit? think the problem may be a bad circuit board but nether I nor my mechanic have the experience or the skill set to determine whether the circuit board is the point of failure. Does anyone on the Forum have a working one they would be willing to part with?
My mechanic knows the nearby Porsche Dealership Service Manager and suggested I reach out to them. They have 2 mechanics who work exclusively on older Porsches.
Anyone else experienced this failure?

I had my climate control head unit go bad many years ago. I got a used one from Parts Heaven Porsche in Hayward, CA. Unfortunately, they closed back in 2019. Good luck with the search. As for repairing the old unit, you might want to consider an electronics tech instead of a car mechanic.

Thanks Bill, Porsche Marin has couple of experts in old school Porsches. They will have a look. It might be repairable. We shall see.
