Design 1 Racing releases its AC Delete Kit
#1

Design 1 Racing announces its AC delete kit.

This kit replaces the Air Conditioning Compressor with a unit which retains the original belt, and allows the car to be run without the Air conditioning Compressor.

If you have a Club Sport this means that you can now run the Design 1 Racing Supercharger kit.

If you have a track car or live in an area where you don't need Air Conditioning, you can now delete that system, lose the weight, and free up some of the drag the OEM system makes on the engine.

This is a direct bolt up, with no modifications required. It uses the OEM belt and hardware. It is made of 6061 Aluminum, and is powdercoated silver.

Price is $299 and available via the Design 1 Racing website.

Pics to follow soon.

Is there any place I could still get my hands on one of these kits?

I saw one come up for sale in Europe recently...I'm sure it's gone by now. There are no more, you'd probably have to buy a car with it already installed.

There are other kits out there, but NONE of them will perform as well as the D1R.
